Fujitsu Hard Drive Data Recovery

FUJITSU MH2250

I have a Fujitsu MH2250 which will not let me open up a hard drive. I was frustrated with the system as it was, and so I ran the upgrade Windows 7 disk which was my only option That seemed to work for the first day, and I recovered a good portion of the data from it. However, it has stopped booting into Windows, and has now not been in the OS for at least 2 weeks. When it goes into the Windows loading screen, it freezes as soon as the icon appears and will not operate any further. I can view the files in the hard drive if I go into Linux, but when I try to go into the system to recover the remaining data, it asks me repeatedly for permissions, at least 5 minutes of constantly demanding this, and then the drive just disappears.

FUJITSU MHV2080

I have an old Fujitsu MHV2080 laptop which lost the old hard drive. I decided that the simplest thing to do would be to put in a new drive, and then connect up the old one using a SATA cable. This should have worked well, but what has actually happened is that the old drive will not spin up into the connection. I tried to reinstall the drive to the laptop, but this has not worked either, and it seems to have done something negative to the drive which has effectively ‘killed’ it off. I have tried to measure the voltage of the drive, and I am getting a significant peak in voltage while the old drive is connected. This might be one of the reasons why the drive has died, I suppose. The only problem is that I have a lot of stuff on the drive which I want to be able to save.
